With over four decades of clinical and translational research experience, he has held senior academic positions at institutions including King's College London and the University of Reading. His work has significantly contributed to the understanding and treatment of conditions such as type 2 diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease.

Professor Krentz has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has been instrumental in the development of novel therapeutic strategies. He serves as the President of the Vascular, Lipid & Metabolic Medicine Section at the Royal Society of Medicine and is a Fellow of multiple prestigious medical societies.
