Microplastics Blood Test

Microplastics Blood Test

At Reborne Longevity, we offer an advanced blood test to detect and quantify microplastic and nanoplastic particles in your bloodstream - identifying their type, size, and concentration. Microplastics are now found across multiple human tissues and accumulate through everyday exposure.

Your microplastics test results are clinically interpreted and integrated into your wider health strategy, informing targeted recommendations across nutrition, detoxification support, and the reduction of environmental exposure.

Why Microplastics Matter

Why Microplastics Matter

We are the first generation to carry synthetic plastic particles in our blood. Microplastics - defined as plastic particles smaller than 5mm - and nanoplastics, which are smaller still and capable of penetrating cellular membranes, are now ubiquitous in the human body. They have been detected in every tissue type examined to date, including the brain and fetal placenta.

Current evidence links microplastic burden to oxidative stress and systemic inflammation, endocrine disruption through interference with hormonal signalling pathways, immune dysregulation, gut barrier dysfunction, and cardiovascular risk. A landmark 2024 study in the New England Journal of Medicine found that patients with detectable microplastics in carotid artery plaques had a significantly higher risk of heart attack, stroke, and death. 77% of human blood samples in a landmark 2022 study contained measurable microplastic particles.

How the Test Works

The Reborne Microplastics Test uses a dried blood microscopy method - a small sample of blood collected via a fingerprick and applied to a plastic-free collection card. The entire collection process uses plastic-free materials to prevent sample contamination. The sample is dispatched to our laboratory partner for cutting-edge microscopic analysis.

Results are both qualitative - confirming presence or absence of each of the seven plastic types - and quantitative, reporting the concentration of each detected plastic in particles per millilitre across different size ranges. Seven distinct polymer types are identified, each with characteristic sources allowing your clinician to pinpoint the likely origin of your exposure: PET (synthetic textiles, plastic bottles) · PA (nylon, textiles) · PP (food packaging) · PE (personal care, packaging) · PU (furniture, insulation) · PVC (construction - releases phthalates) · PS (takeaway packaging). Results within 10–14 working days.

After Your Results

What Happens After Your Test

Results are discussed with your clinical team and integrated into your wider health protocol - informing dietary modifications, targeted detoxification support, environmental exposure reduction, and where relevant, further investigation of organs and systems most affected by plastic accumulation.

Where significant burden is identified, your clinician will discuss the most appropriate interventions - including EBO2 and Therapeutic Plasma Exchange, two of Reborne’s advanced blood therapies that directly address the inflammatory and molecular burden that microplastic accumulation drives.

Book Your Microplastics Test

Microplastic burden is measurable, individual, and increasingly recognised as clinically significant. Understanding your baseline is the first step toward addressing it. Results are discussed with your clinical team and integrated into a personalised protocol - not simply reported and left without context.

The test is included in the Reborne Reset half-day experience and available as a standalone diagnostic. Your initial consultation fee is fully redeemable against any test.
