Introduction to Walsh Nutrient Therapy
At Reborne, we understand that true longevity begins at the biochemical level. That’s why we are proud to offer the Walsh Nutrient Therapy Pathway—a highly personalised, evidence-based approach to mental and neurological health pioneered by Dr. William J. Walsh.

Biochemical Imbalance
Rooted in over 30 years of clinical research, Walsh Nutrient Therapy is designed to correct underlying biochemical imbalances that can contribute to a range of conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and cognitive decline. The therapy focuses on key nutrient-driven pathways—such as methylation, metal metabolism, and oxidative stress—using advanced lab testing and targeted supplementation to rebalance the body’s neurochemistry.
Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, the Walsh approach recognises that everyone’s brain chemistry is unique. By identifying specific nutrient deficiencies or overloads, this pathway empowers patients with a precise and sustainable route to mental clarity, emotional balance, and long-term neurological health.
At Reborne, this pathway is seamlessly integrated into our broader longevity program, offering a clinical map that connects your neurobiological blueprint with personalised nutritional interventions. It is ideal for individuals seeking to improve mood, cognitive performance, resilience to stress, or to reduce dependence on medication under careful medical supervision.
Mental health can be affected by diet and stressful life events, but a dominant factor is also genetic or epigenetic differences in brain chemistry. Many persons exhibit an inborn tendency for abnormal levels of key nutrients that are directly involved in brain chemistry. Some deficiencies might be of minor importance with respect to human functioning, while others could result in mental problems.
The primary raw materials for the synthesis of many brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) are nutrients – amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and other natural biochemicals that we obtain from food. However, in most cases, a mental disorder cannot be overcome by a special diet or indiscriminate supplementation. The challenge is to identify the specific nutrient overloads and deficiencies, and to provide treatments that normalise blood and brain levels of these chemicals with precision. This is the essence of advanced nutrient therapy.
Step 1
Complete our secure application. This allows us to understand your health history, goals, and interests. Your application will be carefully reviewed by our team.
Step 2
You’ll then be invited to a meeting with one of our team to learn more about you and review any diagnostics needed, and explain more about how we work.
Step 3
You will then have a consultation, with our Walsh practitioner, who will create a tailored plan based on your data, goals, and preferences. You’ll receive guidance, as well as personalised care from our team. You will then attend follow up and refining appointments detailed below.

The Primary Elements of Nutrient Therapy Involve
(a) diagnosis of nutrient imbalances after a thorough medical history and testing of blood, urine, and tissues
and
(b) nutrient therapies aimed at normalising activity at serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, GABA, and NMDA brain receptors.
There are numerous examples of the decisive role of nutrients in neurotransmitter synthesis. For example, Copper is used to produce norepinephrine (‘adrenaline in the brain’). An overload of Copper can increase norepinephrine while dramatically lowering dopamine levels, a key chemical implicated in motivation and addiction. These imbalances are associated with several behavioural disorders, ADHD, anxiety and depression. As another example, Vitamin B-6 is required for efficient synthesis of GABA, a critically–important neurotransmitter for sleep and calming the mind.
A major advantage of nutrient therapy is that by using natural chemicals, we avoid the serious side effects often associated with psychiatric medications. Most psychiatric medications work by altering neurotransmitter activity at the synaptic receptors. Antidepressants called “selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors” (SSRI’s) increase the activity of serotonin, while Benzodiazepine drugs interact with GABA receptors resulting in higher activity of this calming neurotransmitter. Nutrient therapy represents a more-natural method of correcting such imbalances in neurotransmitter activity. This approach involves normalising the concentration of nutrients needed for neurotransmitter production or regulation.
Another advantage is that nutrient therapy can be used together with medication and counselling, providing a more holistic treatment approach. Without exception, gut health must be addressed and optimised prior to initiating nutrition therapy to ensure adequate absorption of supplemented nutrients.
